Million's of American's enjoy the company of their pets every day. From dogs and cats to hamsters and fish. There are a lot of popular varieties out there but sometimes that just doesn't scratch the itch you are looking for. If you can't decide on what pet you want and none of the regular options feel satisfying for you, then perhaps you should consider getting a conure bird or two. Birds are often looked down on as a less than personable animal to get as a pet, but that is certainly not the case amongst all of them. Fun
If you have never owned a bird before then you might not realize just how fun-loving some of them can be, and none epitomize this more than a conure. Conures do everything from making playful chirps and mimicking speech to dancing along to the beat of your favorite song. They may also swing around on their perch and hang upside down. More than anything they like to be where their owners are and want to feel included which makes them quite social for birds.
Simple To Care For
You may be surprised at just how easy it can be to take care of a bird if you have owned a big dog or other high-maintenance pet in the past. They don't eat very much, their food is quite cheap, they are fascinated by anything and don't always require special toys (although you can certainly buy them some) and their waste is very easy to clean up due to it being located within their cage. With a bit of training, a conure bird can be a very intelligent housemate and one that you won't have to bend over backward to please.

One of the main reasons conure birds are kept as pets is because of their beautiful feathers, large eyes, and cute beak. When you think of a parrot or parakeet you probably picture something quite close to a conure, as a conure is just a general term for a group of birds that share similar characteristics in south America.
